It is savanna country on the banks of the river Bhramaputra , which originates
in Tibet and winds its way through lush Assam into the Bay of Bengal . In
this tall Grassland the marshy terrain lives the greatest population of
the one horned Indian Rhino.
Kaziranga National Park is in the heart of the tea growing state of Assam
and is the home of Rhinos , elephants and wild buffaloes , tigers, barashigha
deer , hog deer and a host of other animals and birds. About 430 sq. km.
In area , the park is explored on elephant back.
Nature walks in the forested hills and the visits to native villages where
the people rear silkworms to weave silk material give fascinating insight
into the land and the people apart from the taming wildlife.
Day 1. Delhi - Gauhati - Kaziranga
Fly into Gauhati and drive to Kaziranga.
Day 2. Kaziranga
Jungle excursion , elephant rides and nature walks.
Day 3. Kaziranga
Jungle excursion , elephant rides and nature walks.
Day 4. Kaziranga
Jungle excursion , elephant rides and nature walks.
Day 5. Kaziranga - Gauhati - Delhi
Drive to Gauhati early morning and fly back to Delhi.
